Last Mission To Tokyo: The Extraordinary Story Of The Doolittle Raiders And Their Final Fight For Justice
Lieutenant Colonel Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson's 98 missions in the Pacific Theater
In the annals of aerial warfare, the story of the Doolittle Raiders stands as a testament to the courage, determination, and ingenuity of a group of American airmen. In April 1942, these daring pilots embarked on a perilous mission to strike at the heart of the Japanese Empire, becoming the first to bomb mainland Japan since the start of World War II.
Among these valiant fliers was Lieutenant Colonel Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson, a young pilot from Texas who would go on to become one of the most highly decorated American fighter pilots of the war. In his memoir, The Extraordinary Story of the Doolittle Raiders and Their Final Fight For, Anderson recounts his experiences on the raid and in the subsequent years as he continued to fight against the Japanese.
